President Lincoln: Honest Abe had an extreme fear of the dentist. Because of this, when he needed to have a tooth pulled, he opted to do it himself!
President Roosevelt: Teddy was one of the first presidents to be documented smiling with his teeth. And the public loved that about him.
President Grant: Grant headed off for battle during the Civil War carrying nothing but a toothbrush. Eventually grant lost his teeth and wore dentures. On a world tour on the ship stopped in Tokyo, Japan in 1877, he lost those, too. A ship steward accidentally tossed them overboard.
