Dr. Karren attended Brigham Young University before earning early acceptance into the Oregon Health & Science University
School of Dentistry. After graduating with high honors in 1999, he was inducted as an alumnus member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon of the national dental honor society.
He is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Utah Dental Association, and the Ensign Academy of Dentistry.
Dr. Karren previously established a successful, family-oriented private practice in Phoenix, Arizona, where he spent 24 years developing a wealth of clinical skills and meaningful patient relationships.
Outside of the clinic, he enjoys playing men’s league hockey, golfing, snowboarding, perfecting his New York-style pizza recipe, smoking meats, and traveling.
He and his wife, Nicole, reside in Provo and are the proud parents of one son and a daughter-in-law, and two daughters.
Dr. Karren looks forward to getting to know the people in Santaquin and serving the community.
